My name is Phat Truong. I’m a research collaborator with the Human Pose Recovery and Behavior Analysis group, Universitat de Barcelona, working on Virtual Try-On. My research interests focus on image generative models, human understanding, and multimodality. I am currently exploring PhD opportunities where I can contribute to these or related areas.

In 2025, I obtained an Msc in Computer Vision, a joint program by UAB, UOC, UPC, UPF, and UB in Barcelona, Spain. My master’s thesis on Virtual Try-Off was co-supervised by Prof. Sergio Escalara and Dr. Meysam Madadi, as part of the Human Pose Recovery and Behavior Analysis group. Previously, I received a research fellowship to pursue an internship in Image Super-Resolution and Hyperspectral Imaging with Prof. Daniel Ponsa at Computer Vision Center. Before returning to academia, I spent over four years in industry. Until 2024, I was a Senior Data Scientist at Knorex R&D Labs, exploring programmatic advertising, user response forecasting, and ads ranking. I worked there with Yiping Jin. Earlier, I was a founding AI engineer at SceneSeer - a startup in USA, where we attempted (unsuccessfully 😅) to register a US patent for a cloud-based criminal scene prediction system. Previously, I graduated in Mechatronics from HCMUTE, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
